  Come have dinner with us, catch up with fellow towers from across the state, and stay involved with what is happening within OWOA and Oklahoma’s towing and recovery industry.

  2026 OWOA Officer Election

  The OWOA Officer Election will also take place on September 8th.

  Voting will be conducted virtually only from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM.

  Ballots will be sent by email to the email address on file with OWOA.

  One ballot will be issued per OWOA Membership/DPS Number.

  You do not need to attend the membership meeting in person to vote.

  Voting may be virtual, but we would still love to see everyone’s smiling faces at Rudy’s! Come enjoy dinner, visit with other members, and spend an evening with your fellow Oklahoma towers.

  Correct Wrecker Driver Mindset –
  Virtual Training & Certification

  Course Overview:
  This virtual training program is presented in two sessions, giving operators time to absorb the material and apply the concepts between meetings. The course focuses on building a strong professional mindset—one that supports safety, awareness, and consistent performance on every call. Participants will learn how attitude, preparation, communication, and decision-making directly impact recovery results and roadside safety.

  Format:

  • Session 1 September 23, 2026 6:00 PM-8:00 PM : Foundations of Mindset, Professional Image, Pre-Shift Preparation, Situational Awareness, Communication & Teamwork

  • Session 2 September 24, 2026  6:00 PM- 8:00 PM: Managing Stress, Mental Health Awareness, Customer Interaction, Continuous Training, Hazard Recognition, and Setting the Example

  Both sessions are live virtual classes with interactive discussion and real-world towing scenarios.

  Testing & Certification:
  At the end of Session 2, participants will complete a required knowledge test.
  ✅ Certificates will be issued upon successful completion of the test.

  What Operators Will Learn:

  • Why mindset determines safety and success on every recovery

  • Expectations for professional appearance, PPE, and daily inspections

  • Mental readiness, reducing distractions, and staying focused on-scene

  • How to assess hazards, plan escape routes, and adapt to changing conditions

  • Effective communication with law enforcement, customers, and teammates

  • Stress management, fatigue awareness, and mental health support

  • Customer professionalism and representing your company with pride

  • Leadership skills for veteran operators and mentoring new drivers

  • How to apply continuous training and evolving industry standards
    

  Who Should Attend:
  Light-, medium-, and heavy-duty operators, trainers, supervisors, and anyone responsible for safe towing and recovery operations.

  Requirements for Certification:

  • Attend both virtual sessions

  • Complete and pass the end-of-course test

  $50.00 for Members
